To be successful in this role, we are seeking for candidates with the following relevant skills and experience:

  • Significant experience working as a systems administrator
  • Experience with ISO27001, Essential 8, or other information security certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-level technical and planning skills, familiarity with Windows Server, Hyper-V, Exchange, M365, networking protocols is essential.
  • Good teamwork and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical ideas and concepts efficiently and business skills
  • Academic qualification in IT or Engineering and/or Microsoft, CCNA, ITIL, or other industry qualifications are desirable.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

GPA is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Systems Administrator to join our Adelaide team. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of the ICT infrastructure at GPA. The successful candidate will be involved in major upgrade projects, day-to-day operations, planning future upgrades, and maintaining strong information security practises.

Responsibilities include developing sound business continuity and data resiliency strategies. Good communication skills are critical as the role heavily involves interfacing with team members, management, and other departments.

  • Part of the recruitment process for this position, is to provide a guided 2-3 minute video introduction of yourself (via Willo), a link to the Willo portal will be shared with you if your application is successful in the first instance.
  • A requirement for this role is to complete a satisfactory pre-employment medical and Australian police clearance and Baseline clearance. Due to clearance requirements, Australian citizenship is required.

KEY DUTIES

  • Ensuring uptime on productivity infrastructure such as server/SAN, and IP networks, M365, and security systems.
  • Working with other IT team members to resolve issues and complete upgrade projects
  • Working with vendors and providers to procure hardware, software, and support services
  • Business support: help desk tickets elevated from other support staff.
  • Liaising with management and staff to communicate network upgrades, changes, outages, etc
