Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an experienced Senior Systems Administrator you will lead and manage complex IT infrastructure and network environments. This role involves maintaining system reliability, improving operational efficiency, and mentoring junior team members. You will leverage your expertise in system recovery, networking, cloud technologies, and security best practices to ensure the organization’s IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and scalable.

  • Flexible work arrangements: Hybrid 2 days onsite
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (8-hours)
  • Type role: Contract 3 Contract
  • Availability: Availability for after-hours support or on-call duties as required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Manage and optimize Windows and Linux server environments to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Rebuild and restore servers affected or other security incidents, implementing preventive measures.
  • Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring quick recovery from disruptions.
  • Design, configure, and maintain diversified network systems, including Grandstream, TP-Link, and Cisco devices.
  • Manage VLAN/MPLS environments, ensuring efficient network segmentation and traffic flow.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot wireless solutions using Ubiquiti and Meraki technologies.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior administrators on systems, networks, and IT best practices.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, delivering efficient and effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, recovery procedures, and training guides.
  • Lead IT infrastructure projects, including server migrations, network upgrades, and cloud integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system performance and security.
  • Enforce strong cybersecurity practices across all systems and networks, minimizing risk exposure.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities to maintain a secure IT environment.
