SUMMARY:

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining all elements of the Corporate computing Infrastructure, associated clients and applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Broad knowledge of Information Technology, Network topology, Cloud technology, infrastructure, security, and supported technologies.
  • High degree of self-motivation and attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills (verbal, written and electronic) and the ability to follow through unsupervised, and provide frequent updates until task or project completion
  • A track record of continuous professional development and ongoing improvement with deployed infrastructure technologies
  • Ability to learn quickly and work alone or as part of a team in a result-oriented environment
  • A positive attitude and customer-focused mindset
  • Capable of supporting multiple problems/tasks/projects simultaneously while moving them all forward and meeting target completion dates

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Management of wired and wireless networking, firewalls, VPN, Internet telecommunications and SD-WAN solutions
  2. Managing the maintenance of data center facilities including air handler systems, environmental monitoring, UPS systems and a backup generator
  3. SharePoint administration
  4. FTP services monitoring and management
  5. Leading projects, managing resources and reporting project status
  6. Planning disaster recovery initiatives and associated strategy
  7. Managing and passing IT audits and remediation of findings
  8. Remediating of penetration testing findings and hardening of the environment
  9. Managing Internet certificates, DNS and email records (MX, SPF, DKIM. Etc.)
  10. Managing multi-factor authentication technologies with Office 365 and VPN
  11. Proxy solution management
  12. Workstation or Mobile device management solutions
  13. VOIP telephone system administration
  14. Deployment and management of physical access control systems, DVR’s and cameras

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years extensive IT experience in Infrastructure operational management in mid to large-sized environments
  • 7+ years’ experience in administering Wintel servers in a Microsoft environment including managing Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, and associated services
  • Experience administering and supporting virtualized servers and associated hardware
  • Security experience protecting multiple vectors such as endpoints, servers, networks including physical protection and successfully mitigating pen-test findings.
  • Experience creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with hardware, software, networking, etc.
  • Experience with help desk ticketing procedures and willingness to work tickets at any level
  • Flexible to regularly facilitate on call rotation for incident response and maintenance activities
  • Occasional travel including overnight domestic trips may be required

Responsibilities
  • Manages authentication technologies including Active Directory, VPN and MFA solutions. – GPO and OU management, DNS, DHCP, sites and services, remote connectivity
  • Performs virtualized server management – patching, version upgrades, performance monitoring and capacity planning
  • Monitors and executes Office 365 – license management, user provisioning, mailbox and application administration
  • Responsible for Wintel systems hardware and software administration, RAID arrays, data backups, system provisioning, shares, patching and hardening
  • Responsible for monitoring, alerting and remediation on core Infrastructure elements
  • Manages and monitors EDR and MDR solutions.
  • Uses in depth troubleshooting to identify root cause, incident and problem resolution
  • Continued knowledge and provide recommendations on best practices on installed products and integrate into environment as appropriate
