We are looking for a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to drive the development and optimization of our osapiens HUB. In this role, you will manage and enhance our infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure our platform’s reliability, scalability, and security.
The osapiens HUB is a cloud-based platform that helps businesses manage their sustainability, compliance, and transparency efforts more easily. The HUB offers ready-made software solutions that automate compliance with environmental and social regulations, helping businesses track and improve sustainability with minimal manual effort. It’s user-friendly, adaptable, and optimizes existing resources.
Think of it as an all-in-one toolkit for businesses looking to operate more sustainably while keeping up with legal requirements without getting bogged down in technical or administrative hassles.
This role is based in Mannheim, a vibrant tech hub at the heart of Germany, where you’ll collaborate with a talented, forward-thinking team. We embrace a hybrid work model, with three days a week in the office, ensuring the perfect balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Formal training in IT System Integration (e.g., Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration) or an equivalent qualification through education, certifications, or hands-on experience
• Expertise in managing Linux (Ubuntu) systems using tools like Ansible, along with experience handling Java applications, Apache Cassandra/ScyllaDB, Elasticsearch, and HA Proxy
• Strong background in monitoring and automation, with hands-on experience in Grafana, Prometheus, and Bash scripting
• Deep understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and best practices for scalability, security, and performance
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for efficient deployment and management of applications
• Proficiency in networking and security principles, including firewalls, load balancing, and encryption
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus

• Manage, maintain, and optimize Linux servers across both public cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure
• Design, enhance, and ensure high availability of our cloud infrastructure to support scalable and secure operations
• Oversee and support operational customer environments, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance in server and cloud systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance cloud infrastructure for both internal and customer-facing systems
• Drive automation and efficiency by implementing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and continuous improvement practices
• Provide expert support and guidance to colleagues and customers, ensuring seamless cloud operations for national and international clients
