REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in system administration with a focus on enterprise environments.
  • Extensive experience with Synology and TrueNAS storage systems and network-attached storage solutions.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server 2019-2025 administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong Linux system administration skills across multiple distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, and user management.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong networking knowledge including IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls, and network security.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with a Version Control System (e.g. svn, git)
  • Knowledge of certificates and PKI
  • Experience with WSUS and WDS.

Responsibilities

ROLE

As part of a growing IT team, the Senior System Administrator will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level IT infrastructure across multiple platforms and cloud environments. This role includes managing Windows Server environments, Linux systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), network infrastructure, and enterprise collaboration tools to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of all IT systems. The Senior System Administrator will work with an existing team of Senior System Administrators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult with internal clients and management to develop new IT infrastructure solutions; solicit feedback and implement improvements
  • Research, design, build, maintain, and test new systems and network infrastructure
  • Create documentation and systems specifications as required
  • Train and provide support to users
  • Identify and explore opportunities to improve business processes
  • Analyze user requirements and suggestions to create solutions to address existing challenges and opportunities
  • Perform system maintenance to identify, monitor, and correct defects
  • Maintain existing infrastructure while ensuring continued reliability
