We are seeking a (MSP) Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer with a proven track record in the Managed IT industry to join our dynamic team. Position Overview: Position Overview: This position will be based out of one of our Company locations in Abilene Texas, Lubbock Texas or Midland Texas.
As a (MSP) Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer in Abilene Texas, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the IT infrastructure of our diverse client base. You will be responsible for delivering high-level technical expertise, designing robust systems, and implementing cutting-edge solutions. This role combines technical acumen, leadership, and client-facing responsibilities, requiring the ability to build strong client relationships and manage projects effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP).
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Strong experience in virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
  • Extensive knowledge of M365 administration and migrations.
  • Professional experience with Azure migrations, specifically moving on-premises workloads to Azure.
  • Proficiency in standard network infrastructure installations and upgrades (VPNs, routers, firewalls, switches, WAPs).
  • Familiarity with security hardening (anti-virus, email filtering, dual-factor authentication, secure remote access).
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA or CCNP).
  • ITIL certification for service management.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills, with a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Azure Migration Projects: Lead end-to-end Azure migration projects for various clients, including planning, analysis, design, implementation, and post-migration support.
  • System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network, server, and infrastructure-related issues for both internal and external clients.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply best practices and provide subject matter expertise during project and support engagements.
  • Escalation Support: Act as a technical escalation point for junior engineers and project managers, offering mentorship and guidance.
  • Client Consultation: Participate in client meetings to provide technical insights and develop strategic IT roadmaps, while managing client expectations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members on technical projects and initiatives to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
