HOW WILL I HELP?

As a Senior Systems Analyst-Fraud, you will provide technical expertise and support for fraud analytics environments, tools and processes. To pursue and guide initiatives to improve system design, efficiency, stability and data quality. The Fraud Prevention team is responsible for managing Fraud and Scam risk for the Westpac Group and its customers. The primary purpose of the team is to protect customer from Fraud and Scams through early detection. The Fraud Systems team enables this by providing application maintenance and support to ensure system availability and reliability.

Responsibilities:

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide technical expertise and support for fraud analytics environments, tools and processes
  • Pursue and guide initiatives to improve system design, efficiency, stability and data quality.
  • Support fraud analytics to develop, test, release and monitor analytics, database and web environments.
  • Coordinate with projects, fraud analytics, security, risk and compliance teams to support system governance,
  • maintenance and improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to process, policy and governance review and improvement activities.
  • Develop tools and automation to support effective management of Fraud Analytics systems
  • Resolving incidents and problems to ensure systems operate to meet customer needs
  • Perform test planning and execution for releases impacting Fraud Analytics systemsSupporting out of hours on a rotation basis.

To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills, education and personal attributes:

  • Experience working in SAS batch analytics environment
  • Data management and manipulation experience
  • Experience with JavaScript web development frameworks, ideally Node.js & React.js
  • Familiar with SQL, REST, APIs, GIT and Linux
  • Identify opportunities to address root cause of problems
  • Strong customer (user) focus
  • Accountable to deliverComputer Science qualification or equivalent experienc
