Description

EPAM is looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Architect with expertise in on-premises data center environments to join our team in Germany.
In this role, you’ll design and implement hybrid, multi-cloud-native infrastructure solutions, focusing on performance, security and the seamless integration of on-premise systems. While the role is primarily remote, occasional visits to client sites may be needed to facilitate project delivery and stakeholder collaboration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Min 9+ years of experience as a Network/Systems Architect
  • Proven understanding of core network-related activities in data centers
  • Familiarity with Software-Defined Networks (SDN) and their implementation
  • Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts and principles
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Wide Area Networking (WAN), including DMVPN with MPLS and NHRP
  • Local Area Networking (LAN) and Data Center (DC) networking
  • Cloud interconnects with comprehensive security stacks
  • Networking solutions such as Cisco ACI, Palo Alto, Fortinet
  • Cloud networking technologies including Aviatrix, AWS networking and Hyperscaler networking
  • Networking protocols and technologies: BGP, OSPF, static routing, VXLAN, GRE, IPsec, SD-WAN, VRF (RD)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both German and English
Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, advocating for the importance of Networking Best Practices
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to design and implement Network Topologies and Designs
  • Configure, harden and test Networks and Software-Defined Networks (SDNs)
  • Assess, analyze, design, plan and implement network topologies for private clouds, enabling Multi-Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud connectivity
  • Monitor and optimize network performance and security, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze and report on network patterns and trends to inform strategic decisions
  • Implement, configure and test network hardware and Software-Defined Networking Technologies
  • Apply industry standards such as BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO/IEC 27001 and best practices to ensure secure, reliable and efficient network architecture
