About the job: Based in Mons, Belgium, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our Information Technology services to support NATO’s Digital Transformation. You will join the NATO Digital Workplace Centre (NDWC), which is responsible for the Digital Workplace, covering operational NATO services, across all content classifications and security domains, for desktop computing, mail, instant messaging, video teleconference (VTC), content services platforms, telephony, printing and mobility services. NDWC responsibilities also cover the support of digital events, meetings and large-scale conferences for both the Agency and NATO stakeholders. NDWC also has the responsibility for driving the future roadmaps of these services across the NATO Enterprise to enable a NATO Digital Workplace through new services. We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Systems Engineer (CIS Security Accreditation) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities: Act as the primary internal business-facing representative for accreditation, representing the Section in all relevant governance forums and stakeholder engagements; Support Communication Information Systems (CIS) Security assurance of all NDWC services; Identify, plan, request and manage development of required documents for accreditation (CIS Description, Security Accreditation Plan (SAP), Security Risk Assessment (SRA), Security Requirement Statements, Security Operating Procedures (SecOPs), and Security Test and Verification Plan (STVP)); Conduct Security Risk Assessments in support of security accreditation of NATO CIS, in particular; identify level of mission impacts, threats and vulnerabilities for all assets comprising NATO CIS, derive residual risks and provide risk management mitigations and recommendations; Build and sustain effective communications with different stakeholders, including Security Accreditation Boards, NATO Security Accreditation Authorities, ACT Office of Security (AOS), SHAPE/J2X; NATO Office of Security (NOS) and NCI Agency organization units supporting security accreditation process. About you: The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are: Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post; Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of computers and communication security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications; At least 3 years of experience in Security accreditation of major CIS acquisition and/or development projects for a large organization; Experience conducting security risk assessments, ideally in support of security accreditation od CIS; in particular, identify level of threats and vulnerabilities for all assets comprising CIS, derive residual risks and provide risk management recommendations; Managing cybersecurity teams and mentoring staff; Defining and executing security roadmaps and long-term strategic plans; Overseeing budgeting and Cyber capabilities; Executive-level communication skills for reporting risks to stakeholders/board; Ensuring security maturity for the organisation; Deep experience with incident response leadership during major breaches; Reports to or works closely with the senior leadership; Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Engineer will act as the primary internal business-facing representative for accreditation, supporting CIS Security assurance for all NDWC services.
