THE ROLE
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy. As Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing Systems Engineering services across a range of UKAEA projects, focussing initially on support to the JET Decommissioning and Repurposing programme. You will provide hands-on Systems Engineering support to projects at all lifecycle stages, from establishing the initial outline requirements, through the design and implementation phases, to verification that the final delivered solution meets the original design intent.
The post holder will support projects that span from the long-term development of new facilities to short term intensive upgrade, repair and replacement of existing systems and to the decommissioning of legacy equipment and buildings. They will be concerned with Systems Engineering support to the development and management of the design and realisation of complex systems and must be able to demonstrate an ability to deal with ambiguity and the application of Systems Engineering to emergent technologies.
