POSITION OVERVIEW:
In this role you will get to work with other rail & transit / systems professionals to execute new and upgraded rail system infrastructure projects for our key clients . The Principal Systems Engineer will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to project delivery for all stages of the project including: writing proposals, developing various project documentation throughout conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design stages, project management, systems engineering and construction support for the development, integration, testing and commissioning, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. The systems engineer will actively support the integration of system processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of total system performance. This role will involve extensive coordination with various internal and external design teams to address issues and progress project activities and deliverables.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Engineering Degree from an accredited institution. An advanced degree may be preferred at this level. Incumbents typically have a BS/MS degree in engineering, technical, or scientific discipline.
- 8+ years of related professional experience in railway projects
- Registered (or eligible to register) as a P.Eng. in BC
- Experience using MBSE tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or equivalent to develop architecture diagrams
- INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification an asset
- Functional Safety certification and/or experience with CENELEC standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 50159) an asset

Salary Range:
$95,300 - $177,100
