Description Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer Department: Operations – Services Reports To: RavenTek Program Manager Location: Hurlburt AFB, FL Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Clearance: Top Secret/SCI Position Summary The Senior Systems Engineer provides systems engineering expertise to assess requirements, as well as designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technically advanced end-to-end solutions in support of the SGIP Program across all AFOSC PED sites. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek's performance on the contract, and therefore RavenTek's mission to support the customer. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead systems engineering and integration activities for SGIP systems, providing technical direction to engineering staff. Coordinate with the Engineers/Architects on system architecture, requirements, and integration strategy. Serve as the primary technical expert responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the client/server environment. Develop and implement the client/server system strategy and design the supporting infrastructure required to meet customer mission requirements. Design and prepare technical reports and related documentation to include charts and graphs to record results. Implement and test Audiovisual (AV) solutions in support of AFSOC PED facilities. Assist with Information Assurance (IA) for program systems to ensure all IA actions are properly completed in accordance with current standards, regulations, and directives (i.e., preparation of IA artifacts, such as system scans, patches, diagrams, etc.). Advise management on feasibility of potential future projects. Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period. Submit regular status reports on a regular basis, as required. Monitor RavenTek email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly. Complete required compliance training as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills Processing, Data Storage, Data Access and applications development knowledge. High level of knowledge in design and development of client/server environments. Expert knowledge of full motion video principles. Software/hardware troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Client. Education & Work Experience Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in related field. Experience with selection of technological purchases with regard to processing, data storage, data access and app development. Experience with SQL Server. VMWare experience is preferred. Certifications, Licenses A minimum of Security + is required to meet DOD 8570. NetApp required. Linux preferred. Special Requirements Top Secret/SCI clearance is required. Work Environment When working on-site, employees will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs regularly. Physical Demands Employees need to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; see, talk, and hear. Most positions require the ability to work on a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Employees may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
