Location: Lund Job Type: Full-Time About the role At Terranet, we are developing next-generation technology to make urban traffic safer. We are now looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the development and design of new concepts, taking them from initial idea to final product in close collaboration with the development team. This covers both hardware and software development, developing early Proof-of-Concepts to de-risk novel technologies, validate architectural choices, and demonstrate feasibility to stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team, which includes both software and hardware specialists. You’ll be part of a collaborative and open-minded team where we tackle challenges together, and every idea and contribution counts. Role and responsibilities Lead the product design from concept to product Technical lead for system-level hardware and software integration Designing and integrating systems across electronics, optics, and software domains Development of hardware electronics with close link to software embedded and AI Built and tested proof-of-concept models for a variety of product ideas About you We are looking for someone with proven experience in system engineering and design ideally a background from automotive or sensor technology development. You have experience of analyzing and breaking down the system and component requirements. As a person we believe that you have a solution and result-oriented attitude. Required Skills: Proven track record as a Systems Engineer or Technical Lead Expertise in full-concept development, integrating both hardware and software Experience in system-level architecture for advanced sensors, including LiDAR and cameras Strong analytical skills in identifying alternative solutions Excellent communication skills Fluent in English Nice to have: Strong knowledge of optical design with a focus on laser technology applications Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design and development Proficient in software development using languages including C, C++, and Rust What we offer We believe in creating a workplace where you can grow, succeed, and enjoy your work.
