We’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our security and engineering group. As part of our growing team you’ll get to work directly with a range of customers developing and automating a modern approach to work across Microsoft 365 and Azure. Leveraging the insight you develop as you work with our customers you’ll be actively engaged in continuously refining our core service offering to ensure it remains reliable and secure in an ever changing digital landscape.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years experience as a Senior Systems Engineer, preferably in a managed services environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure systems, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solution Architect Expert, Identity and Access Administrator Associate or Enterprise Administrator Expert).

YOU’LL PREFERABLY HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • Azure
    o VMs, networking, Recovery Services Vault, Site Recovery
    o Managed SQL instances, Web Apps

o Monitoring and security

  • Windows Server core roles and features
  • Microsoft SQL and IIS administration
  • Microsoft 365

o Entra ID/AzureAD
o Global Secure Access
o Exchange-Online
o SharePoint
o Intune
o Defender XDR

o Teams Telephony

  • Security:

o Rapid7, Mimecast, Proofpoint, Phriendly Phishing or similar

  • Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet offerings (advantageous)
  • Automation (advantageous):

o PowerShell
o IaC – Bicep, Terraform
o PowerAutomate

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Past experience within a Managed Services Provider.
  • Strong track record of driving technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Deep understanding of system security, performance optimization, and maintainability best practices.

  • Design, implement and manage complex infrastructure systems that are secure, scalable, reliable, and meet performance and best practice requirements.
  • Undertake project work to design, plan and implement solutions for our customer’s Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement required mitigation measures.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training and awareness programs with customer end users.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to systems infrastructure, conducting root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to service the infrastructure needs of our customers.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other staff members within the support and engineering teams.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to system architecture, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technology, and best practices.
  • Advocate for emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance team productivity and system efficiency.
