JOB SUMMARY:

The TADSS Operator at Fort Sill is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and technical support of Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS). This role supports institutional and professional military education for U.S. and international military personnel, ensuring all systems are mission-ready and aligned with Army training objectives and Programs of Instruction (POIs).

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a current and valid CompTIA Security+ certification (must be maintained throughout employment).
  • Active SECRET clearance required.
  • Graduate of any Air Defense Artillery (ADA) MOS-producing course OR
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in air and missile defense operations OR
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating ADA TADSS.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Familiarity with ADA weapon systems and simulators, including Patriot, THAAD, and SHORAD platforms.
  • Experience working with both Microsoft and Linux-based operating systems.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications preferred.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • CompTIA Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant) is required and must be kept current.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain ADA TADSS equipment to support field and classroom training environments.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot simulation software and networking components across both Microsoft and Linux platforms.
  • Provide direct, hands-on training support to U.S. and international military students.
  • Conduct daily system assessments to ensure simulation and network readiness.
  • Align TADSS training scenarios with Army POIs and instructor directives to support learning objectives.
  • Document training events and generate student performance summaries when required.
  • Assist with implementing, testing, and validating software changes and system updates.
  • Perform system integration tasks and diagnose hardware/software faults to maintain operational availability.
