Overview:
As the Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will partner with hiring leaders to recruit and hire both internal and external talent for roles within your designated portfolio. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, attracting, evaluating, and hiring candidates to meet the corporation’s hiring objectives while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of internal clients for recruitment and selection requests and proactively builds organizational awareness of the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with client groups and contributes to enhancing knowledge and ability regarding recruitment practices corporately.
  • Design, lead, and manage full cycle recruitment both internally and externally.
  • Provide superior service to internal clients and applies discretionary thinking to meet client needs.
  • Provide timely communication to hiring leaders and updates hiring leaders on the progress of recruitment.
  • Ensure all related articles within the collective agreement are considered and consistently applied through the recruitment and selection process.
  • Provide recruitment and selection insights and data as part of the selection grievance process.
  • Source external candidates for open requisitions when required.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in business, commerce, human resource management r another relateed field.
  • Completion of the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset.
  • Five years of progressive experience in talent acquisition and corporate recruitment and selection, including one year of sourcing experience.
  • Technical and IT recruitment is an asset.
  • Salary administration experience is an asset.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Understand business needs and translate to effective and impactful recruitment strategies to support talent requirements.
  • Source and select top talent, including leveraging multiple talent attraction channels.
  • Proficiency with related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ATS, HRMS), and web recruitment tools, including social media.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated agility and resilience in working in a fast-paced, changing environment; navigate and work through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of employment best practices and human resources legislation.
