Description

Opportunities like this don't come along often.

Suncorp is transforming Talent Acquisition into a strategic, capability-led function, and we're looking for experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Partners to help shape that future. This is more than recruitment. You'll partner with senior leaders to solve workforce challenges, influence hiring and capability decisions, and build talent strategies that support long-term business outcomes.

If you're looking for a role where your expertise will be valued, your ideas welcomed and your impact visible, we'd love to hear from you.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

We're building a Talent Acquisition function known for its strategic thinking, commercial insight and ability to influence business outcomes, not just recruitment activity.

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner (in Brisbane or Sydney), you'll:

- Own a dedicated talent acquisition portfolio and strategy.

- Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning and capability needs.

- Build talent pipelines for critical capability areas.

- Provide market intelligence and talent insights that shape hiring decisions.

- Coach and support developing Talent Acquisition professionals.

- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Talent Acquisition at Suncorp.

- Success in this role isn't measured solely by filled vacancies.

We'll know you're succeeding when leaders seek your advice on workforce challenges, capability gaps and future talent needs before a role has even been approved. That's the level of partnership we're striving for.

Human-Centred, AI-Enabled Talent Acquisition

We're investing in technology and innovation to create a modern, data-informed Talent Acquisition function.

With Oracle HCM recently implemented and an expanded partnership with Sapia AI, we're creating smarter, more scalable ways of attracting, assessing and engaging talent.

You'll help us:

- Improve recruitment processes and ways of working.

- Drive best-practice Talent Acquisition methodologies.

- Leverage technology and AI-enabled solutions to improve outcomes.

- Enhance candidate and hiring leader experiences.

- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and innovate.

- Challenge the status quo and continuously improve how we work.

If you're energised by change and excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of Talent Acquisition, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, you'll lead strategic attraction, sourcing and hiring outcomes across your portfolio.

Working closely with Talent Acquisition colleagues and senior business leaders, you'll provide talent intelligence, market insights and workforce advice that supports stronger hiring decisions and organisational capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with senior leaders to understand workforce plans, capability needs/gaps and future TA needs.

- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies across your portfolio.

- Lead end-to-end recruitment for complex, specialist and senior-level roles while supporting more junior roles as volumes require.

- Build proactive talent pipelines and talent communities.

- Use market intelligence and competitor insights to influence hiring decisions.

- Develop sourcing strategies for hard-to-find and future-critical capabilities.

- Deliver exceptional candidate and hiring leader experiences.

- Coach and mentor Talent Acquisition colleagues.

- Contribute to continuous improvement across Talent Acquisition practices, tools and processes.

- Leverage technology, data and insights to improve talent outcomes.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for experienced Talent Acquisition professionals who have developed the credibility, maturity and commercial acumen to operate as trusted advisors.

Typically, you'll bring:

- Experience across a combination of in-house/corporate, RPO and/or agency environments.

- 10+ years of Talent Acquisition experience.

- Demonstrated success partnering with senior stakeholders.

- Strong capability in strategic sourcing and talent mapping.

- Experience influencing hiring and workforce decisions.

- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

- Strong commercial and business acumen.

- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

- A passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

- Experience coaching and developing others.

While we recognise that tenure alone doesn't determine success, the depth of experience and judgement that comes from diverse exposure across Talent Acquisition environments will be critical to success in this role.
