This role plays a key part in supporting the Nation’s workforce through inclusive, values-driven recruitment and onboarding processes. Guided by snew̓íyelh (teachings) and wenáxws (respect), you will help strengthen the Nation’s capacity by ensuring each hire reflects the excellence, integrity, and purpose of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw. As a Senior Talent Advisor, you’ll coordinate and lead recruitment initiatives, support hiring managers through each stage of the process, and ensure smooth onboarding experiences that welcome new team members into the Squamish Nation. Your work will directly contribute to building a strong, connected, and culturally grounded workforce that reflects our collective vision of self-determination and community prosperity. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Lead and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, from applicant review to finalized employment agreements. * Ensure timely communication and follow-up with new hires to foster a positive onboarding experience. * Manage ADP Workforce Now setup and data accuracy, liaising with Payroll and Finance to maintain integrity of employee records. * Support recruitment efforts for Summer and After-School Program Workers and the Squamish Nation Internship Program. * Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and timeliness throughout the recruitment cycle. * Prepare and maintain accurate hiring documentation, compensation, and benefit information. * Track probationary reviews, wage increases, and other key employment milestones. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of Chén̓chenstway HR practices that reflect Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values and cultural teachings. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. * 3+ years of experience in recruitment, HR coordination, or talent acquisition. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills across diverse teams and departments. * Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms. * Experience drafting employment agreements, managing due diligence, and coordinating onboarding. * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. * Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and service excellence. * Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.
