EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in end-to-end talent acquisition delivery including best practice talent acquisition approaches with a broad base of HR generalist skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the QCOT Permission to Teach principles and policy.

SKILLS

  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice HR processes and contemporary and innovative recruitment and selection initiatives.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of AURION and SCOUT platforms.
  • Exceptional administrative skills with the ability to maintain a commitment to compliance and integrity of processes.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and Word), Google applications and database administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, negotiation and problem solving with capacity to interact effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Take functional responsibility for the organisation’s end-to-end recruitment framework and process, including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding in alignment with policy and workforce needs. Lead and provide first level internal escalation support to the TCEO Talent Acquisition Advisors, Contract Advisors and Supply Coordinator as a subject matter expert.
  • Design and coordinate talent acquisition activities in order to support quality hiring decisions for Townsville Catholic Education Office.
  • Coordinate and administrate PTT applications strictly in accordance with Queensland College of Teachers guidelines, TCE PTT guidelines and the key responsibilities and workflow outlined in Annex A. Work in conjunction with the Systems Learning & Teaching Adviser to ensure TCE fulfills its obligations in appointing PTT candidates to roles.
  • Coordinate and administrate all VISA applications and enquiries from across TCE.
  • Establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships to support the successful delivery of talent acquisition activities.
  • Partner with the Strategy & Capability team to understand their operational workforce plans and implement approved activities and assessment methods that source and attract the right candidates.
  • Administer industry specific internal and external talent pools allowing pre-qualified high potential candidates to be profiled and shared internally in order to measurably improve the quality of talent and to fill roles efficiently.
  • Provide operational talent acquisition advice and support on policies and procedures that build hiring manager’s capability and ensure the effective and compliant execution of talent acquisition activities.
  • Deliver operational reporting such as metrics and data to ensure relevant stakeholders are informed of progress and make effective recruitment decisions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing review, development and maintenance of recruitment policies ensuring alignment to organisational policy, process and legislation and best practice recruitment industry approaches.
  • Provide selection process support by coordinating shortlisting, interviews, selection processes and completing the credentialing process to support a positive and compliant candidate experience.
  • Verify selection panel reports for approval by the appropriate authorised delegate to ensure selection recommendations are compliant to policies and award conditions.

Responsibilities

Townsville Catholic Education (TCE) is currently seeking an experienced Senior Talent Advisor for a Full Time, Permanent position commencing on 1st September 2025.
The Senior Talent Advisor reports directly to the People and Safety Operations Team Leader and is the first point of internal escalation for the design, delivery and coordination of all TCE talent acquisition activities including recruitment, contracting, onboarding and supply.
