Talent Management in Lidl is all about Learning and Development! We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Talent Management Team. It is an integral part of business operations across Lidl ensuring all learning and development activities are fully implemented to impact positively on the business. We are looking for someone who can effectively partner with our different departments and our colleagues in DHO. The role will be focused on design, facilitation, coaching colleagues and management of programmes.
The Senior Talent Management Specialist will report directly to the Talent Management Director.

The objective of the role is to deliver on the strategic Talent Management objectives and support leaders across the business in line with the employee life cycle (across topics such as:

  • Succession Planning
  • Senior Talent Development
  • Performance Management
  • Coaching and Mentoring
  • Reporting and Compliance of above

What you’ll do

  • Partnering with business areas to identify, design, and implement learning & development interventions
  • Support the talent management cycle (Lidl’s appraisal/performance review process) & succession planning efforts across business areas and advise on PDPs
  • Management of The Leadership Academy (Lidl’s high potential academy)
  • Complete regular reviews of existing learning programmes to ensure alignment with the business strategy
  • Creation, support, further development, localisation and operational implementation of national and international training and development concepts
  • Delivery of soft skills training i.e., Leadership, communication skills, team development etc.
  • Assist senior leaders with facilitation, guidance and support when required
  • Attend relevant management meetings to deliver presentations and communicate new concepts
  • Analyse data and trends to identify opportunities and efficiencies to improve on performance and development
  • Leading projects within the Talent Management strategy

What you’ll need

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • A coaching accreditation would be beneficial
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in learning and development
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Confidence and ability to work within a team
  • Excellent attention to detail & ability to analyse figures
  • E-Learning design not essential but useful
  • Full driving licence is beneficial
