Description:

The Senior Talent Programs Specialist will be tasked with overall management of Seaspan’s Shipbuilding leadership development program. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide strategic guidance to our Graduate Development Program and work with the existing Talent Management team to ensure that talent programs from Campus through to senior level leader programs are aligned and complimenting one another.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements a shipbuilding-focused rotational accelerated leadership program, including rotations across various business areas, leadership development components, and business case curriculum.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure program alignment with organizational goals and shipyard-specific needs.
  • Manages the selection, onboarding, ongoing development and final placement of program participants.
  • Partners with business leaders, HR, and training teams to identify rotation opportunities and align program objectives with business needs.
  • Oversees and provides guidance and support to ensure meaningful learning experiences by maintaining detailed records of program participants, rotations, and outcomes to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Monitors participant performance, address challenges, and support career planning post-program completion.
  • Assists in the design and delivery of leadership development components, incorporating best practices in talent development and learning strategy.
  • Integrates feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve the curriculum.
  • Communicates program outcomes and successes to leadership, providing regular updates and metrics.
  • Oversees the potential integration of the new graduate program and other talent initiatives under the rotational program framework.
  • Ensures seamless coordination and consistency across all talent programs managed within the team.
