✨Senior Tax Accountant✨ Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant with a strong foundation in accounting principles to join our team. This role involves preparing tax returns, financial reports, and tax planning by analyzing financial information. Responsibilities Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Distribute expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules. Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and write narrative reports explaining findings. Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret the company's financial position. Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement. Determine proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits. Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and documents. Modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures. Make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Essential Skills 8-10 years of public tax accounting experience, focusing on review and preparation for corporations, partnerships, and LLCs. Active CPA in Oregon or Washington. Proficiency in GAAP, including journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statements. Experience with CCH Axcess software. Savvy with Excel and ability to quickly learn new systems. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with an MBA or CMA preferred.
