Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Miamisburg, OH. In this role, you’ll take the lead on complex tax compliance and consulting engagements, serving as a technical resource for the team. You’ll guide and mentor Staff on foundational projects and frequently serve as the first-level reviewer on tax engagements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to build strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Applies strong technical tax accounting knowledge of partnerships, corporations, s-corporations on consulting and compliance engagements. Accurately prepares complex S-Corporation, C-Corporation, partnership, multistate and individual tax returns. Prepares and reviews income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients. Performs research and writes technical memorandum in a readable format. Researches and prepares work papers for various book to tax differences. Maintains open communication with engagement management regarding the progress of completion on projects. Manages time effectively by completing projects within communicated budget/deadlines. Develops effective working relationships with clients and firm associates. Efficiently reviews tax returns from Staff as a first reviewer. Can identify potential tax issues during planning of engagement. Confidently responds to federal and state notices. Delivers highest level of customer service to clients. Streamline procedures and offer recommendations on how the tax filing process can run more efficiently. Actively participates in training and developmental opportunities. Supports Staff and Interns in professional development. Overtime is required during tax season (January through April) and around other tax deadlines.
