Our team is composed of innovative and driven professionals who are committed to excellence and integrity. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in a key role overseeing the company’s tax compliance and reporting functions. This position involves ensuring that all tax-related activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will be instrumental in managing client relationships, reviewing complex tax filings, and contributing to strategic planning throughout the year.
While this role is ideally full-time, we are open to considering a part-time schedule of at least 24 hours per week for the right candidate. Regular work hours are typically Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. During tax season, extended hours—including evenings and weekends—may be required to meet client deadlines. Outside of peak periods, particularly in the summer months, there may be opportunities for a more flexible or reduced schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation a plus but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Proven experience with corporate and individual tax returns and tax planning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and prepare complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Review federal and state tax returns and other forms prepared for both individuals and businesses.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and requirements.
  • Conduct detailed tax research and provide expert advice on tax planning strategies.
  • Review and analyze financial statements to identify tax implications and opportunities.
  • Coordinate and manage audits with external tax authorities and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
  • Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior tax staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and proactively adjust strategies as needed.
