Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. The position involves managing end-to-end tax compliance and preparation for individuals, companies, and other entities, including reviewing returns prepared by junior staff and ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant legislation. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, performing detailed tax calculations, identifying tax planning opportunities, and providing clear advice to clients and internal stakeholders. The role also requires monitoring regulatory changes, maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge, and supporting process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of service. Qualifications

• Strong tax technical skills, including Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and general Tax knowledge.
• Proficiency in Accounting and preparing and reviewing Financial Statements.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional accreditation (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in public practice or tax consulting, with responsibility for complex client files.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to interpret tax legislation and guidance.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialist audiences.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple deadlines and client priorities.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members and contributing to a collaborative, respectful work environment.
