Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus).
  • CPA, EA, or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax environment.
  • Partnership, state, and local tax experience are a plus, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of tax concepts and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax software
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and diligence
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a challenging environment
  • Collaboration with external consulting and tax firm
Responsibilities

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Tax Analyst to join our finance team. The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for supporting the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to continuous process improvements within the tax function.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns, estimated tax payments, extensions, and related filings.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and provide guidance on business initiatives, transactions, and compliance requirements.
  • Support audits by federal, state, and local tax authorities; compile and present supporting documentation as needed.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company’s operations and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in tax planning initiatives to optimize the company’s effective tax rate and cash flow.
  • Assist with transfer pricing, international tax filings, and cross-border compliance as needed.
  • Partner with accounting, finance, and business teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions and accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency in the tax function.
