WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

  • Demonstrated understanding of taxation with a minimum of 3 years tax experience in Australia (the NZ and Singapore elements of this role we can teach)
  • Understanding of GST and Withholding Tax
  • Experience working in chartered firms highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply tax legislation
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Self motivated person who takes pride in quality of work
  • Experienced in the development, implementation and evaluation of best practice policies, procedures, strategies and/or initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee compliance and ensure the company meets all tax obligations across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore (including GST, FBT, BAS, income tax, withholding tax and transfer pricing).
  • Prepare and/or review workbooks for various local tax compliance tasks, and ensure that obligations are met by the deadlines.
  • Conduct research and analysis, consider and recommend options to meet company needs and enable informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for taxation related matters.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders regarding taxation activities, such as external tax advisers, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Perform other duties as required in accordance with strategic objectives, business plans, and local workload priorities.
