PagerDuty is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Tax Analyst to join our global tax team in Lisbon, Portugal. Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and planning efforts. This position will focus on assisting with quarterly and annual tax provisions, tax return preparation, audits, transfer pricing, and special projects while ensuring adherence to global tax regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy working on complex tax matters.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant corporate income tax experience, preferably in a multinational corporation or a Big Four accounting firm.
  • Experience in preparing tax provisions, including related financial statement disclosures, preparing corporate income tax returns, and proficiency in financial reporting standards (e.g., US GAAP or IFRS).
  • Proficient Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters in Taxation or Professional certification such as TOC (Técnico Oficial de Contas) is a plus.
  • Prior experience with SOX compliance or internal controls is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual worldwide consolidated tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures.
  • Support the preparation of global corporate income tax returns, including tax credit, incentives, and refund claims, and other tax compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain tax-related accounts as part of the monthly accounting close process.
  • Assist with external audit requirements for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Help maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
