SENIOR TAX ANALYST:

On behalf of our Professional Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Tax Analyst for a 6 month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

SENIOR TAX ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing and processing tax-related documentation, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and optimizing tax benefits for the organization. The role involves interacting with tax authorities, auditing inventories, and creating detailed reports for executives.

SENIOR TAX ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Experience preparing and reviewing federal and provincial tax returns, such as T1/TP-1
  • Strong background in tax research and analysis with a deep understanding of Canadian tax law
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical language
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax preparation software
  • Proficient with technology and computer operations

SENIOR TAX ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience using TaxCycle, TaxPrep, and ProFile
  • Prior programming/coding experience
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM and IT project management
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written)
