Job Description Job Title: Senior Tax Associate – APAC Region Role Overview The Senior Tax Associate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, provision, and advisory functions across the APAC region, including Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. This role requires a proactive and adaptable professional who can drive efficiencies, ensure accuracy in tax processes, and provide strategic tax guidance to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities Tax Provision Management: Lead the preparation and review of tax provisions for all APAC entities in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting for quarterly and annual close processes. Tax Compliance & Review: Oversee and review all corporate income tax returns and related filings across APAC jurisdictions. Coordinate with external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Tax Advisory & Planning: Provide tax advisory support for business transactions, new product launches, and cross-border initiatives. Identify tax risks and opportunities, and recommend strategies to optimize tax positions while maintaining compliance. Process Improvement & Efficiency: Drive automation and process enhancements in tax provision and compliance workflows. Develop best practices and standard operating procedures for APAC tax operations. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with finance, legal, and operations teams to align tax strategies with business goals. Act as a key point of contact for APAC tax matters within the organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred. 5+ years of corporate tax experience, with exposure to APAC jurisdictions. Strong knowledge of tax accounting (ASC 740) and local tax regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable and proactive mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
