Description
As a key member of the Finance Department, the Senior Tax Analyst will support the company’s indirect and direct tax compliance, tax accounting, and audit activities. This role partners closely with Accounting, Legal, and external tax experts through a co-sourced model to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and excited about growing their technical skills while contributing to scalable tax processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role is based four days per week in our Los Angeles Support Center. Key Responsibilities Support preparation and review of direct and indirect tax compliance, including income tax, sales/use tax (GST), personal property tax, and other state and federal filings. Assist with U.S. multi-state sales and use tax compliance to ensure accurate tax collection/accruals and timely filings and payments. Work closely with external advisors in our co-sourced tax model to coordinate federal and state income tax returns and support quarterly/annual tax provision (ASC 740) activities. Support responses to sales & use tax inquiries and audits from taxing jurisdictions; prepare documentation and assist in summarizing findings for leadership. Partner with 3rd-party delivery partners and help maintain tax engine rules to ensure accurate tax collection. Monitor relevant tax law changes and partner with external specialists to understand impacts and ensure compliance. Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations to support accurate implementation of tax policies and reporting. Participate in monthly close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, estimated payments, and tax-related journal entries. Contribute to a strong culture of compliance and provide ad-hoc support or guidance to internal stakeholders. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA eligibility or Master’s in Tax a plus. 3–5 years of relevant tax experience (public accounting, industry, or combined). Working knowledge of corporate income tax, multi-state sales/use tax, and ASC 740 concepts. Experience supporting tax audits and coordinating with external advisors. Proficiency with tax automation tools (e.g., Avalara, Vertex) and ERP systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
