Job Details Job Location: Anaheim - Anaheim, CA 92806 Salary Range: $0.01 - $0.01 Salary Job Summary: A brief summary of the work performed. The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and directing multiple tax engagement at a time. This position is responsible for the orderly completion of these engagements and keeping the manager and partner informed of progress and unusual developments. Senior Tax Accountants assist clients by providing a full spectrum of individual, partnership, Corp and other tax services including planning, research and compliance. International tax experience is a plus. The Senior Tax Accountant should possess leadership qualities. Technical skills are necessary to assist in all tasks associates with tax engagements, including the mentorship and training of Tax Staff. Essential Functions: Responsibilities that must be performed by this position. Prepare complex tax returns, including consolidated returns with multi state and international filing components. Handle intricate compliance tax research assignments and prepare tax memorandums. Review and deliver tax projections to clients. Assist clients with inquiries related to accounting and tax issues. Meet with IRS and FTB agents to discuss examinations. Review and mentor the work of interns, tax staff accountants, and semi-senior staff accountants. Address tax questions from staff across all departments. Conduct staff training on technical subjects and software, including preparing, teaching, and facilitating classes for the department. Demonstrate proficiency in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation. Manage multiple client engagements while also completing tasks related to business development. Exhibit the ability to teach and train staff effectively. Participate in recruitment events. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required to perform the essential functions of this position Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong presentation and organizational skills are essential. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Outstanding time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload efficiently. Qualifications Minimum Position Qualifications: Minimum qualifications required for this position. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; master’s degree in business administration or taxation a plus. EXPERIENCE: at least 3 years of public accounting industry experience preferred. Preferred Position Qualifications: List of preferred qualifications required for this position. Strong Tax Generalist background is a plus. Strong accounting foundation (year-end adjustments, fixing client books, fluency in QuickBooks programs). Working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel). Knowledge of CCH software (CCH Axcess, Engagement) a plus. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Enrolled Agent / Certified Public Accountant license is a plus. INDUSTRIES: Real Estate, Manufacturing, Engineering, High Net worth individuals, Individuals with trusts (multi-state international filings) is a plus.
