Job Specifications:                              Qualifications: Qualified CA Experience: 0-2 years of experience in direct tax   Roles and Responsibilities:               * Conduct in-depth tax due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. * Analyze and interpret tax implications of transaction structures under domestic and international tax laws. * Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to provide integrated transaction support. * Work closely with private equity clients to evaluate tax implications of fund structures, portfolio company investments, and exit strategies. * Assist in the design and implementation of tax-efficient investment holding structures. * Apply working knowledge of related regulatory frameworks such as FEMA, SEBI, and Companies Act to provide holistic tax advice. * Coordinate with global teams on cross-border transactions and international tax matters. * Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service delivery. * Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. * Ensure timely and accurate compliance with corporate income tax regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns, handling assessments, and managing tax audits. * Advise clients on tax-efficient structuring of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side advisory, spin-offs, and internal restructurings.   Required Skills: •       •Prior experience in tax due diligence would be an added advantage •       •Prior basic knowledge of other laws like FEMA and SEBI would be preferred •       •Strong people and client management skills •       •Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels across the organization •         •Strong analytical ability •       Good inter-personal skills •       •Team player Equal employment opportunity information  KPMG India has a policy of providing equal opportunity for all applicants and employees regardless of their color, caste, religion, age, sex/gender, national origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability or other legally protected status.
