POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the tax functions of the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role involves strategic tax planning, risk management, and providing guidance on tax-related issues to senior management and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of tax strategies that align with the organizations business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and provide recommendations.
  • Oversee audits and assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Review and approve tax deductions, credits, and other incentives to optimize tax liabilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance team on tax-related matters and financial reporting.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, IRS regulations, and emerging tax issues affecting the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax management or a related field, with a focus on corporate and personal tax.
  • Strong knowledge of IRS regulations, tax law, and tax planning strategies.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
