ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a boutique Accounting firm that offers a full range of services – tax and business advisory services. They are looking to hire a Senior Manager to expand their team. We are looking for someone with a solid background in tax. Either in the in-depth tax program or has completed the program.
Great path to partnership. Ideal candidate enjoying coaching and mentoring staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA or CMA)
  • At least 3 years’ managerial experience in public practice firm working with private enterprise clients
  • Completed or in the process of completing the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, representatives, and team members.
  • Proactive self-starter that strives to develop through continuously learning from experience and seeks out feedback and development opportunities.
  • Ability to work under pressure during critical reporting and tax compliance deadlines and take ownership of assigned deliverables.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed reviews of notice-to-reader working papers, including unaudited financial statements.
  • Review Canadian tax returns for corporations, partnerships and individual
  • Ensure proper review of tax election forms and compliance requirements.
  • Step in as the partner representative for client year-end meetings as needed
  • Work and communicate with management, lawyers and other advisors in service of the client
  • Direct, supervise and oversea the work performed by manager
  • Stay current on relevant tax laws, legislative updates, and administrative positions to maintain expertise.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships to ensure the timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
  • Assist with the research, analysis and reporting of various corporate reorganizations, business acquisition and disposition transactions and compensation planning
