Responsibilities

Are you passionate about international taxation and eager to work in one of Norway’s most global companies? Jotun is looking to strengthen its Group Tax function with an experienced Senior Tax Manager. This role involves providing proactive advice and compliance support for all group entities, with a primary focus on corporate tax and transfer pricing, while also being aware of withholding tax and indirect tax matters. This is a key and visible role within the Group Finance organisation, based at Jotun’s head office in Sandefjord, reporting to the Vice President Group Tax.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. You will also need to have a proactive ability to identify and initiate improvement opportunities. You will be presenting goals, risks and priorities to senior management as well as driving and implementing changes required due to legislative and regulatory updates. You will be acting as a key point of contact and support for local and regional taxation matters, so it is important that you develop strong working relationships with business and finance leadership across the organisation. The ideal candidate for this position will have the capacity to drive and develop the tax function at Jotun, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

  • Monitor tax operations to ensure adherence to our tax policies.
  • Support indirect tax compliance obligations in the territories where Jotun operates
  • Initiate and perform transfer pricing reviews of defined transaction categories and ensure the implementation of any changes.
  • Review tax filings for completeness and accuracy, identifying and documenting uncertain tax positions affecting the Group’s tax provision.
  • Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities.
  • Engage and follow up with external advisors when required.
