Description

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing corporate income tax returns (Körperschaftsteuererklärung), trade tax returns (Gewerbesteuererklärung), and other essential tax filings (e.g., E-Bilanz) for the German entities. Additionally, you will review tax assessment notices (Bescheide) issued by tax authorities.
  • Providing expert tax advisory support the German business units, assisting with business projects, tax and accounting inquiries, and domestic restructurings.
  • Collaborating with their accounting team on tax provisions, deferred taxes, tax disclosures, tax account reconciliations, and other financial reporting tasks.
  • Reviewing contracts from a tax perspective, with a focus on WHT and CIT clauses, and prepare intercompany agreements.
  • Acting as a point of contact with tax authorities during audits, supplying the required documentation and responding to inquiries.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Have a university degree in taxation, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Have minimum of 5 years of proven experience in handling German direct tax compliance (income tax, trade tax, profit and loss transfer agreements, etc.), along with a solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, HGB).
  • Show proficiency in NetSuite, financial ERP systems, or other analytical tools.
  • Have a passion for challenges and can work agilely to find innovative solutions and adapt quickly to changing requirements
  • Have Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
