CENTRE FOR HOLISTIC TEACHING AND LEARNING (CHTL) The Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning (CHTL) promotes quality and scholarship in teaching and learning at Hong Kong Baptist University and beyond. The Centre is seeking a visionary and experienced team members to lead the strategic integration and management of educational technologies across the University. Senior Teaching and Learning Manager (25260295) This pivotal role will drive innovation in teaching and learning by equipping our academic community with state-of-the-art tools, support, and strategies. This position collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to identify and implement technological solutions that advance educational excellence. Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of educational technologies (e.g. learning management systems, plagiarism prevention tools, generative AI tools for teaching and assessment, classroom engagement platforms, learning analytics); Collaborate with academic departments to enhance digital pedagogy and curriculum design; Provide expert guidance and training to faculty on technology-enhanced learning practices; Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable and sustainable solutions; Oversee policy development related to academic integrity, generative AI, and digital learning; and Manage and mentor a team of learning technologists and instructional designers. Requirements: A Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university; a Doctoral degree is preferred; At least 7 years of university-level teaching experience; Demonstrated leadership in managing educational technologies in a higher education setting; Strong understanding of digital pedagogy, instructional design and academic integrity; and Excellent communication, collabotation and stakeholder engagement skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
