JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive and effective learning environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to enhance student learning, provide guidance to junior teaching assistants, and contribute to the overall development of our educational programmes. This role is vital in ensuring that students receive the highest quality of support in their academic journey.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is essential.
  • A strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing classroom resources and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is mandatory.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.

  • Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Mentor and guide junior teaching assistants, sharing best practices and providing feedback on their performance.
  • Prepare classroom resources and materials, ensuring they are readily available for lessons.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
