Our Central Services team in Toronto are currently looking for a Senior Team Lead, Training and Knowledge Base to join the team.
As a Senior Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading the Training team and work alongside the Learning & Development department to implement and execute training initiatives throughout the year; while overseeing the Knowledge Base and Communications team to ensure consistency and upkeep of our repository of documentation and (learning) resources.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Deliver and facilitate training and product knowledge courses for new hires and tenured staff within VGW.
- Schedule and facilitate workshops, training reminders and self-paced training.
- Adapt and adjust training methods and style based on various learning needs.
- Conduct evaluations and assess training outcomes.
- Work in conjunction with L&D to develop training modules and programs for VGW.
- Demonstrate stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Facilitate engaging discussions with your team and their direct reports, focusing on tailored development opportunities to refine their expertise and retain top talent.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Minimum bachelor level degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, or equivalent level of knowledge gained through higher levels of practical experience.
- 5+ years experience in Learning & Development and Training.
- Consulting, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to deliver training programs.
- In-depth knowledge of Learning & Development best practice.
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
