JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our Facility Technology Refresh team. This individual will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise network infrastructure. As a Senior Technical Installations Leader, you will support major strategic initiatives aimed at refreshing end-of-life (EOL) network equipment at facilities across the HCA enterprise. You will be responsible for delivering high-impact, multi-million-dollar infrastructure refresh projects that are foundational to the continuity and advancement of patient care and operational excellence.
The candidate must be capable of managing large-scale network refresh projects while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction, meeting critical milestones, and adhering to budgetary targets. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and a solid understanding of how technical decisions impact business operations. The individual should possess project planning and coordination expertise, effective communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
Key responsibilities include leading project meetings, overseeing vendor relationships, and serving as a subject matter expert in infrastructure and client technology throughout the project lifecycle.

General Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure enterprise network solutions aligned with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Lead efforts to refresh EOL network hardware to meet current standards and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with division network, hospital information technology department, and vendors to ensure successful project planning and execution.
  • Provide technical leadership on multi-site network upgrade projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution.
  • Identify and resolve complex network performance and security issues in mission-critical environments.
  • Maintain documentation for network design, configuration, processes, and procedures.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and updates clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support change management and training activities related to network transitions.
  • Responsible for supporting assigned divisions/facilities, ensuring all respective FTR activities are completed on time, within budget, and as designed/specified
  • Serve as a single point of contact for all Division FTR needs; meeting regularly (in person and remotely) with Division leadership to ensure program success
  • Orchestrate and allocate resources towards all remaining activities, working with other FTR Implementation Specialist, support leads, and PMC resources as necessary to achieve joint FTR Program objectives on behalf of the Divisions/Facilities
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete procurement and receiving activities for assigned Divisions
  • Evaluate and implement FTR Program process and cost improvement opportunities
  • Actively participate and provide support for all FTR activities
  • Responsible for budget planning and compliance while working in conjunction with FTR Leadership, other Delivery Leaders, and F&A resources
  • Assist department leadership with projections and project scoping.
  • Report functionally to the FTR Manager
  • Periodic travel to facilities within the division will be needed to carry out required duties

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree preferred
CCNA certification preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with a focus on large-scale environments.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication capability.
  • Competent with project management software, such as MS Project.
  • Competent understanding of IT project components.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • A sense of responsibility and accountability; someone who takes ownership and initiative.
  • Results-oriented with eye toward the end-goal and business results as the objective of our projects.
  • The ability to think and act; decisiveness, assertiveness, with the ability to achieve results quickly.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to handle changing priorities.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude; customer service orientated.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies, methods, and processes.
  • Respect for diversity of experience, characteristics, viewpoints, and opinions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless), network architecture, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing or participating in multi-million-dollar IT infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project management experience; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on collaboration and relationship-building.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:

  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
  • Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
