Distributed Networks, part of the Foundation4Tech domain, is responsible to make sure our Data Centers, office networks and end-user and application protection are in the best shape. The scope is Secure Application Service Edge (Zscaler and Akamai secure application delivery), Office Networks and LAN and the physical management of the Data Centers and co-locations.
Distributed Networks is organized in several agile teams that make sure our services are in the best shape both on-premise and in the cloud. This department develops, delivers and innovates towards a stable, high quality, secure and cost-efficient 24x7 global networking environment for Rabobank’s global business.

SKILLS

  • Intellectual ability and/or work experience on Bachelor/Master level
  • Solid skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Seasoned professional experienced in IT competency, in building, running & changing different IT areas
  • Knowledge of / experience with infrastructure platform services
  • Knowledge of / experience with security services
  • Knowledge of the latest customer/market developments, and high tech developments
  • Offshore and nearshore development
  • Operates in the triangle of Business, Architecture and IT on Area level
  • Influencing skills at the highest level, primarily concerned with managing a broad stakeholder management field, developing and motivating people and changing behavior
  • Freedom to think within clearly defined standards & policies and objectives. The incumbent has a strategic impact by contributing to the IT roadmap for the domain, and for shaping the strategic vision and roadmap of the area.

Responsibilities

The Senior Tech Lead Distributed Networks is ultimately responsible for the following:

  • The IT delivery strategy and execution of the Distributed Networks area;
  • Creating and executing – in cooperation with the Distributed Networks triangle – a strong IT vision on further developing the Foundation4Tech Domain;
  • Stakeholder management, being able to act in politically sensitive environments, with different stakeholders at different levels;
  • Fundament for the High Performing Engineering Culture by continuous upskilling and reskilling of the IT staff and creating a culture of excellence and continuous learning;
  • Leading the transition to empowered and high performance teams;
  • Leading in technology by automation, innovation, change and run;
  • Ensuring stability and security, and lead the standardization;
  • Building a strong Distributed Networks triangle, together with the Service Owner, the Architect and the Tech Leads, with focus on leadership development, leading by example, culture and IT;
  • Further maturing the S@S/DevOps way of working in the domain;
  • Risk management: demonstrable In control;
  • Adhere to standards & policies, e.g. security policies or Life Cycle Management standards;
  • Focusing on quality and build internal knowledge to attract and retain the best employees;
  • Building a talent pipeline and skill pools for skill and craftsmanship development;
  • Challenging, influencing, developing and motivating employees and changing behavior at the highest level;
