Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Technical Accountant to join their growing Corporate Reporting team. This is a newly created position within a large, stable organization, offering high visibility and the chance to work closely with leadership on complex financial reporting initiatives.
As a Senior Technical Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and ASC 842, while gaining exposure to strategic finance projects and company-wide initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR TECHNICAL ACCOUNTANT:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred but not required
• Prior public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and ASC 842
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• The Senior Technical Accountant must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems

• The Senior Technical Accountant will support the application of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Lease Accounting)
• Interpret and apply GAAP to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos
• Maintain and update internal accounting policies and procedures
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess accounting treatment of contracts
• The Senior Technical Accountant will contribute to ad hoc financial projects and special initiatives as needed
