Role description: Arcadis is seeking a senior air quality and noise specialist to support environmental review and permitting projects with public and private sector clients. This individual must possess a technical depth of experience in overseeing and performing air quality and noise analyses related to local, state and federal regulations, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and New York City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR). Role accountabilities: Role accountabilities: Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for air quality and noise analyses. Provide in-house training to Arcadis staff on CEQR air quality and noise analyses, field work, and models including AERMOD, MOVES, TNM, and CadnaA. Prepare technical scopes of work related to air quality and noise projects and proposals. Collaborate with internal and external environmental/traffic SMEs to support delivery Arcadis' environmental scope of work. Part-time as needed (PTAN) Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental science, or related field. 15+ years' experience in air quality and noise analyses related to CEQR, SEQRA, and NEPA. Proficiency in AERMOD, MOVES, TNM, and CadnaA. Proven success in delivering air quality and noise scope for work for environmental review and permitting projects. Must work well in a collaborative environment. Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of environmental subject matter experts, designers, project managers and clients including public and private sector clients Desired Qualifications: Graduate degree or advanced specialization related to air quality and noise modeling Why Arcadis?
