JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

  • D&G is seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Analyst for a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Supply Chain Management-Sustainability (SCM-S) project. This role involves providing innovative and technical improvements of processes or products in the DLA Construction and Equipment Supply Chain. The Senior SCM-S Technical Analyst will provide support within a large, complex program, ensuring effective project management and business process engineering in a complex, fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree. Acceptable fields for degrees are as follows: business, business administration, engineering, operations research, mathematics, finance, public policy and administration, science, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of project management experience with DLA R&D or DoD data management is required.
  • Specific experience with the SCM-S R&D program is essential.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)
  • This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (ie., U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other protected individuals under the immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise on a variety of topics in support of DLA R&D activities. Provide analytical, data management and governance support in determining technical issues associated with improvements in capabilities needed by DLA HQ.
  • Assist in the development of technical, data management and governance strategies, plans, approaches, and procedures for determining DLA SCM-S Program projects.
  • Assist in researching and gathering information on the latest technologies and data management practices including procurement analytics, enterprise data transformation.
  • Develop required technical expertise and maintain awareness of the DLA SCM-S programs through participation in meetings, teleconferences, and site visits in conjunction with the DLA R&D PMs.
  • Assist in the development of documentation such as technical briefings, charters, transition plans, technical evaluations, data management to include but not limited to Class 4 data governance and procurement analytics for construction and management supply chain demand forecasting, and program documentation.
  • Assist in efforts to improve data management particularly in developing strategies to ensure data integrity, quality, and interoperability across procurement platforms with DLA partners, and facilitate the exchange of engineering and logistical information among DLA industry partners and customers.
  • Assist with establishing data management, integration, and governance of DLA supply chains with a heavy focus on improving problem areas in existing DLA systems, reviewing technical reports, written minutes of meetings, and strategic recommendations and shall coordinate with DLA Business Units and Major Subordinate Commands.
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, and meetings relating to the sustainment of the SCM-S program.
  • Assist the PMs with developing and maintaining short- and long-term strategies and project road maps.
  • Leverage expertise and lessons learned during development of task requirements and implementation of program plans and the activities listed above.
  • Travel to perform the above duties as necessary.
