To learn more, please visit: www.ubisoftgroup.com Job Description About the Role As a Technical Animator, you will be responsible for supporting and innovating animation systems and activities. You will work closely with animators, riggers, designers, and programmers to handle mocap data, lip sync and facial animation systems, animation rigs, physics rigs, animation trees, and dynamic objects. You will follow, refine, or establish pipelines for both conventional and innovative features, as well as create game pipelines and standards and develop tools for the animation team. What you will do Learn the existing AAA game animation system and pipeline. Provide constant technical support of the tools and engine to the animation team and communicate regularly the technical restrictions and their rationale. Train animators in the workflow, tools, and anything else surrounding the implementation of animation assets into the game engine. Supervise all integration of animation assets into the game engine. Communicate with engine and animation programmers. Assist in the design, integration, and validation of animation assets. Work with physics systems for rigid/soft bodies, hair, and clot Qualifications Basic knowledge of related animation modules. Deep knowledge of human/creature anatomy. Good engine application and project development conceptualization. Ability to write technical documentation. Great communication skills to cooperate well with other team members.
