JOB DESCRIPTION

The incumbent would be responsible for the analysis of business needs to help identify business problems and propose solutions. Within the SDLC, will work as a liaison for IT and the business to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for the development or change in processes, policies and systems. The incumbent must have the ability to understand business/technical problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the team to achieve its objectives.

KNOWLEDGE SUBJECT AREAS

  • Detailed understanding of requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice
  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and Excel
  • Considerable knowledge in various requirement gathering techniques
  • Knowledge with agile and sprint model for project delivery
  • Considerable experience with system testing using various devices and platforms
  • Case Management experience a plus
  • Experience mentoring and coaching a plus

Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on application development including architecture, design, coding, configuration, maintenance and installation
  • Responsible for creating deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, status reports, project plans)
  • Work closely with the business teams involving discussing trade-offs with other technology such as .NET versus the code in place, or mapping the functional requirements
  • Develop medium to complex solutions to ensure that best practices are followed, and the best data solutions are provided
  • Create technical plans and strategies with other IT team members, developing solutions to address any agency-wide issues and making business processes more efficient
  • Conduct workshops/training for other team members in the IT Team to gain a detailed understanding of the application
