The Role We are looking for a qualified Senior Technical Engineer to join our technical team in China. To deploy technical understanding and solutions in developing new business in electronics application through deploying new products at a range of OEM & Tier 1 customers in China & Multiregional customers. Job Responsibilities · Develop and exploit design, development and application know-how in Victrex’ Electronics markets, acting as both internal and external expert advisor. · Lead new product launch projects in China electronics markets, managing technical and engineering support targets, developing a supporting technical network and being accountable to deliver technical milestones to agreed plans. · Define and deliver broad technical support and network with OEMs and Key Opinion Leaders to electronics targets, working with business development team on defining high impact plans. · Deliver major business growth impact based on proactive technical proposals aligned to commercial plans defined with Market and Business development team colleagues, being responsible for target technical case management and jointly building Tier 1 / OEM partner account plans. · Develop and deliver key account education programs, including development and provision of applications and component technical proof data, supporting new and existing products where change/application awareness and understanding in the Electronics market is critical for success. · Lead new application design and development within customers, driving Technical Readiness Level from defining Key End-User Requirements demanded, to ensuring delivery and sign-off against critical needs and specification through transition into SOP sales. · Delivery of the commercial pipeline by deploying at the customer, technical knowledge and solutions for Victrex products in targeted application areas, from adoption and through growth phases of the lifecycle. Requirements · Solid knowledge and experience in polymer materials application in electronics (5G/6G devices, semiconductors, consumer electronics) · Competent experience in OEM/T1 project support, customer-facing technical delivery, cross-functional collaboration · Strong Chinese & English communication and presentations skills · Intensive experience working in a multiple functional and cross-regional team to drive new application development and implementation at customer. · Competent problem-solving skills including DOE, experimental delivery and statistical analysis · Bachelor degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, relevant polymer science, materials, chemistry or engineering is required. Advanced degree is preferred. · Understanding of electronics markets & business case/value proposition development (preferred) · Exposure to global collaboration and supplier coordination (preferred) · Familiarity with project management, stage-gate, IP/patents/contracts (Preferred) Our Offer to You We offer competitive base salary depending on your qualifications and experience, amongst other company incentives.
