For this position, the appointee will be part of the lab management team that supports the smooth functioning of the school’s labs/learning facilities, provide support to academic staff in teaching as well as supervising/guiding students in their project work while ensuring safety regulations are followed.
Besides lab/learning facility management, the appointee has opportunity to provide administrative support to key functional and/or project works related to the various initiatives carried out by the school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the smooth functioning of the school’s labs/learning facilities and assist/conduct lab/facility learning activities for both PET and CET courses.
  • Provide support to academic staff in teaching as well as supervising/guiding students in their project work whilst ensuring safety regulations are followed.
  • Liaise with vendors and evaluate quotations from suppliers for purchase of materials and lab equipment.
  • Provide support which include coordination, consultation with various stakeholders, follow-up and implementation in school functional and/or project work.
  • Work with IT department to ensure owned/subscribed software/system comply and are aligned with SP IT policies.
  • Evaluate risk assessment procedure and ensure compliance with SP’s prevailing policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Improve and digitalise processes through new or advanced use of IT tools.
  • Support users on the use of digital services and systems.
  • Document and update the technical procedures, policies and champion best practices.
  • Setup and maintain analytics dashboards/reports, and work on data analytics projects.
  • Support and maintain school websites.
  • Support school outreach events/activities.
