Description
ARCTOS Technology Solutions, LLC arctos-us.com/careers/ OVERVIEW Reach New Heights! ARCTOS Technology Solutions, LLC (ARCTOS) is a fast-growing, technology-oriented small business providing aerospace, defense, and digital solutions, with offices and work sites across the United States. We’re looking for team-oriented innovators eager to tackle interesting challenges, work on important problems, and receive great benefits and employee support. REQUIREMENT The Senior Technical Fellow brings deep technical acumen and operational perspective to help multi-disciplinary teams develop technologies and concepts that address pressing warfighting challenges—spanning new business capture, active contract execution, and internal technology development. The ideal candidate has succeeded both in the laboratory and alongside operational commands in developing, assessing, and fielding new capabilities, and brings the professional network, credibility, and collaborative spirit to represent the organization across the defense research and development enterprise while mentoring its technical teams.  Organizationally, this is an individual-contributor role (i.e., no line management or P/L responsibilities) reporting to the VP and Division Manager, Future Capabilities Division, with wide latitude to engage teams across ARCTOS and its parent company DCS Corporation, including the Air and Space Technology Sector and beyond. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Thought Leadership and Technical Vision — Provide deep technical and operational perspective to shape innovative, often non-traditional solutions to complex warfighting challenges, anticipating future operational needs and technology trends across air, space, and cross-domain applications to inform technical direction and investment priorities. * Business Capture Support — Assist in shaping and evaluating proposed solutions to support the capture of new business opportunities, providing technical assessment of opportunities and solution approaches while lending technical credibility and stature to proposals and customer engagements. * Technical Guidance on Active Contracts — Provide technical guidance to technical teams and customers on active contracts, serving as a trusted sounding board to navigate risk, refine approaches, and ensure technical rigor and relevance—engaging directly with customers as a credible technical voice as needed.  * Technology and Product Development — Support the conception, development, and transition of internal technology and product development efforts (both CRAD and IRAD), helping mature new technologies and concepts from early ideation through demonstration and transition, and serving as technical lead or team member on select high-priority initiatives as appropriate.  * Operational and Stakeholder Engagement — Leverage experience with operational commands to translate operational requirements into technical solutions, building and sustaining trusted relationships across the operational, acquisition, and research communities to inform and validate technical direction.  * Technical Mentorship and Knowledge Leadership — Serve as a mentor and resource for technical teams, elevating overall technical capability and cultivating the next generation of technical leaders through coaching, technical review, and example—without direct supervisory responsibility.  * External Engagement and Representation — Serve as a credible voice representing the organization across the defense research and development enterprise, engaging government customers, industry partners, academia, and the broader community through direct contact, technical forums, and other engagement opportunities as appropriate to advance the organization's reputation and influence.   EDUCATIONAL, CLEARANCE AND CERTIFICATION * Education — Ph.D. preferred (Master's required) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.  * Clearance — TS/SCI eligibility is mandatory.  * Experience — 20+ years of progressively responsible technical experience, with experience both in the laboratory and in working with military commands on the advancement and employment of new technologies; exceptional familiarity with AFRL and Department of War organizations is required.  * Indicators of Professional Stature — (one or more desired) Fellow or Associate Fellow of a relevant professional society; AFRL Fellow or equivalent recognition within a national laboratory or research enterprise; prior service as a Department of Air Force senior leader (e.g., SES, ST, O-6 or above). PHYSICAL/WORKING ENVIRONMENT * Remote (within 60 miles of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio) TRAVEL * Occasional local or overnight travel as needed, performed under the guidelines of Federal Travel Regulations and/or Joint Travel Regulations. BENEFITS 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Matching; Health Insurance & HSA; Dental & Vision Insurance; Company Paid Life Insurance, AD&D and Short-Term Disability; Paid Time Off, Volunteer Time Off; Employee Assistance Program In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.     ARCTOS and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.  We look forward to reviewing your application!
